I visited Ochanomizu earlier this week. There are some interesting places near Ochanomizu station. I think this Kanda-river is also nice.

St.Nikolai Cathedral is an orthodox church. Pictures from St.Nikolai Cathedral...

Yushima Tenjin is a Shinto shrine. Yushima Tenjin homepage.

We still have cold days in Tokyo, Japan. But, the days are getting longer and longer. Ume blossoms have begun to bloom. Some parks in the Tokyo area are now beautiful. You can see many busy photographers there :).

According to the television weather report, spring would come earlier than usual. It means that cherry blossoms would begin to bloom earlier. Many Japanese people would have drinking parties under cherry trees. I am sure that my bosses would enjoy "their drinking parties" under the trees :). I do hope that they would also enjoy the cherry blossoms :).

One of the nicest parks in Tokyo area is located near Hamamatsucho station. Kyu-Shibarikyu Onshi Teien (Garden) is a good place to take pictures of ume blossom.

Yesterday some trains stopped running because of strong wind. It meant Miki could not use same station as usual... It also meant that I had to wait for almost an hour on this long line for bus, because I was in station waiting for Miki and shopping... I took this picture with my mobilephone. I could see this long line at news when I got finally at home...

Yesterday was Valentine's day. In Japan women give gifts, mostly chocolate, to men on that day. I could get this chocolate from my wife. I also got chocolate from one of my wife's co-worker. On White day, March 14th, men give women cake or chocolate. Actually, I got strawberry cake yesterday from Iksipairi. Why wait until next month :).

Happy Valentine's day! Hyvää Ystävänpäivää!
Now it is Ume blossom season in Tokyo area. We have had very sunny days recently. Now it is rainy day and I have time to update our homepage.

One of the best places I have found to see Ume blossoms is Shinjuku Gyoen national garden.
